Val has over 20 years experience in tourism with L&R alongside a career that includes event and venue marketing and management. She works in destinations and with visitor attractions and museums. She gets most job satisfaction working with clients on projects that make a difference to people, organisations and places.

Val leads L&R’s tourism expert team retained by the IOPC (International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund) to provide advice on impact, compensation for economic loss and marketing recovery in destinations affected by major oil tanker pollution incidents.

This work has taken her across Europe, to Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines and South Korea.

Currently she is enjoying re-evaluating visitor attractions through the eyes of her grandchildren. Val also plays tennis (sedate doubles!) and has begun golf lessons.
